Master of Arts in English (MA English)
Courses Description

The courses on the M.A. English Programme offer the students insight into literature, language, culture, and history, including rhetoric, communication studies, theatre studies, media studies and visual arts. There are two types of courses: core courses and elective courses. The students have to study the core courses, which are mandatory and have select elective courses in order to fulfill the requirements for the degree.

While retaining the fundamental philosophy of humanities education such as the cultivation of humanistic values and critical thinking, the programme aims at developing students’ creative, critical, and communicative skills that they need in their academic and professional life.
