Lalitpur, Aug 8, 2025 — Kantipur Valley College (KVC) celebrated its Commencement Ceremony 2025 on Friday at the Royal Tulip Hotel, Gwarko, honoring graduates from its MBA, EMBA, BBA, and B-Tech in Biotechnology programs. The event brought together graduates, faculty, parents, and distinguished guests in what was described as one of the most remarkable ceremonies in KVC’s history.
The ceremony was graced by Ms. Menuka Shrestha, Deputy Exam Controller of Purbanchal University, who served as both Chief Guest and Guest of Honor. She inaugurated the event with the traditional lighting of the Panas, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment. Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Mr. Chiri Babu Maharjan, though unable to attend due to health concerns, conveyed his best wishes to the graduates.
Principal Dr. Avinash Shrestha delivered a warm welcome, while Vice-Chairman Mr. Jitendra Man Amatya highlighted the college's enduring legacy in higher education. Chairman Dr. Pushpa Man Amatya concluded the event with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of faculty, students, and parents.
KVC also honored its gold medalists, awarding the prestigious Pride of KVC title to present recipients, while recognizing others who were abroad or outside the valley. Special awards presented during the event included the Academic Excellence Award, Best Entrepreneurship Award, and Best Supporting Students Award.
In her keynote speech, Ms. Shrestha praised KVC's role in producing competent and visionary professionals, underlining its contribution to the nation's academic and professional landscape.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Ms. Shubha Rajbhandari Amatya (Director, KVC), Mr. Hari Krishna Saiju (Senior Faculty), Dr. Samuel Baran Saw (Senior Educator & Advisor), Mr. Sagar Thapa (Head, Science & Technology, KVC), Mr. Jayram Kunwar (Vice-Principal, PUBOSS Plus Two), Mr. Indra Kafle (PUBOSS School), and Mr. Binaya Bhattarai (Senior Administrative, Purbanchal University), along with most of the KVC faculty.
