Kantipur City College Civil Engineering Students Visit Nagdhunga Tunnel Project and United Cement Factory

Kathmandu: Kantipur City College (KCC) organized an educational field visit for 1st and 3rd year Civil Engineering students to the Nagdhunga Tunnel Project and the United Cement Factory, providing students with hands-on exposure to real-world engineering practices.

During the visit to the Nagdhunga Tunnel Project  students closely observed tunnel excavation methods, construction techniques, safety systems, project planning, and on-site management practices. The interaction offered valuable practical insights into large-scale infrastructure execution beyond theoretical classroom learning.

The students also visited the United Cement Factory, where they learned about the cement manufacturing process, quality control measures, and the role of construction materials in infrastructure development. This experience helped enhance their understanding of material selection and application in civil engineering projects.
