Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has received a total of 26,888 online applications from students seeking scholarships for Grades 11 and 12 in schools within the metropolitan area.
According to KMC, among the applicants, 16,549 are male students, 10,333 are female students, and 6 belong to other gender categories. So far, 23,499 applications have been approved, while 84 applications have been rejected.
In terms of academic streams, 18,996 students have applied for Science, 7,271 for Management, 407 for Law, 135 for Education, and 79 for Humanities.
To support parents and students facing difficulties during the online application process, KMC has established a help desk at the department office.
Students selected under the scholarship program will be able to study in Grades 11 and 12 without paying any educational fees.
