Kathmandu — A two-day Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Curriculum Design Workshop for Grades 1–3 teachers was successfully conducted at Bouddha International School, marked by active participation and professional engagement.
On Day 1, the workshop began with a strong focus on building a deeper understanding of core SEL competencies. Teachers explored practical strategies for integrating these competencies into everyday classroom practices. The session featured interactive discussions, collaborative group activities, and reflective exercises aimed at creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for young learners.

Day 2 of the workshop was equally insightful and impactful. The session emphasized understanding psychosocial concerns and challenges commonly faced in the classroom. Teachers were introduced to competencies mapping techniques to better identify and address students' needs, ensuring their holistic development.
The workshop was facilitated by the School Counseling and Wellbeing Support Center under the Kathmandu University School of Education. The center offers a comprehensive range of academic programs and counseling services designed to foster students’ emotional, academic, and social well-being.
The program provided a valuable platform for educators to strengthen their pedagogical approaches and align classroom practices with the principles of social-emotional learning.
